De natuur bij het Zwischenahner Meer is prachtig en gevarieerd. De beste manier om de omgeving te ontdekken is op twee wielen, want er zijn talloze fietsroutes rond Bad Zwischenahn die ideaal zijn voor zowel beginners als gevorderden.
Er zijn nu in totaal 21 themaroutes die fietsers op een unieke manier dichter bij Ammerland brengen. Zeven van de fietsroutes beginnen in Bad Zwischenahn of lopen door de stad. De rondleidingen kunnen volledig of in delen worden voltooid. Stops onderweg bieden de mogelijkheid om een kijkje te nemen in de dorpen “langs de weg” en hun verschillende bezienswaardigheden. De fietstochten zijn niet al te inspannend, want de route is meestal vrij vlak door het prachtige landschap, dus je hoeft geen grote hellingen te overwinnen.
